  • Help- Wierd bargain bin version of CTP

Having not played CTP1 in probably two years, I recently found a copy of it in a bargain bin and dcecided to take it for a spin. But its wierd. I chose maximium installation when I installed it, but Windows tells me the folder with the game contents is only 16 mb, and I remember it used to be over 500. In addition, there are no game files or a scenario section in the folder, making it impossible to mod the game or add scenarios, which is sort of the reason i bought it.

    Suggestions?

Hi, Chris B, long time no see I mostly remember you from CtP2 though, much less from CtP1...

Anyway, does the game play normally? If so, it's probably playing from the CD, in which case you could always try copying the entire CD to your HDD and install it from there (because you obviously can't mod files on a CD )

Just found something. In the system requirements on the back it specifys a 2x DVD Rom drive, however I played it in my E drive (a CD burner) and it ran. I also disocvered I didn't need the 1.2 patch, proving it is a re-release. Could it be some weired enhanced CD? I guess you're right; I could make a drive image on my hard drive and find the necessary files there.

It runs on my 50x CD-ROM, so it probably is an enhanced CD
