I have been playing this game a very long time.

Please someone tell me how this PINK got around the border.

I know one way and only one way, and that is with the terrain editor

this happens when the person editing the map fails to put the coastal square next to the land mass, so the game thinks the square is deep sea instead of coastal see. if you look at the square with the left click it will have the characteristics of deep sea, 10 food, 10 production, 5 gold, instead of 5 production. so the person did a bad job of editing. whoever it was also took out almost all the goods so we are going to take a long time to advance technology because we will need our people on gold to pay for the buiildings and no extra from trade to help with that.

so it may have "been intnetional and widely accepted" but it was done incorrectly. Poor design.
