Problems with reinstalling the game

While playing with the text files for CTP, I did not follow the advice of 'create a backup' of the files I was playing with. As it turned out, I screwed up one or two of the files, to point that CTP would not load.
I finally went ahead and uninstalled and reinstalled the game today. Only, I cannot get the 'English patch 1.2' or 'Apolyton Hack 1.21' to load. Nor can I get my old saved games to load. Only the first saved game will load.
The patches keep telling me that they cannot find the files or my version is not the correct one. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry about this guys, but I just got to work. Improperly installed CTP. Doing it correctly and then running the patches, restored all of my saved games. Now I just have to replace all of the changes that I made to the TXT files.
