A mexican spy has stolen secret technologies from us, this will not be tolerated. The spy has been hunted down and executed afterwards. Is this the reward we get for removing our troops from Mexican territory and showing our goodwill? In that case we'll move them right back if you want it that way. Don't tempt us.

Ok . . . So my spy was snooping a little bit. But I think your retaliation was way too much. You killed my cyberspy AND my dipolomat (which is a total declaration of war rather than just some counter espionage) and you pirated 5 or 6 of my trade routes. Sounds rather extreme. Seems to me like you are looking for a war, where I was not. I could have planted a nuke if I wanted to start a war, but I didn't.

I have sent you a request to stop piracy. And I will send a further request that you stop all trespassing across my borders as well. If you want to avoid a conflict, I suggest you accept both and pardon my poor backwards civilization that was just in need of a little science tutoring.

ok lets be peaceful people, this world has been wrecked and is in need of repair. I need to know if conflict is looming or if I can try to repair all the damage from previous wars.

if you need a little technology help I will be willing to help you out. a more balanced world is a safer world.

of course i agree pirating all the trade routes is a little extreme, but you did try to steal under a peacful time. that is a little like asking "ok, let me steal from you and because you are bigger I get to get away with it or your a bully."

I know 2 that the game can only have one winner so we all need to watch our backs since we are replacements and it is not our word we would be breaking.

To the vaulted mexicans; Even though I did not accept the permanent alliance do not take that as bad. I am still trying to familiarize myself and do some repair to the land. this looks like it was a slamming time before most of us signed on. I would rather play a few turns and see what is happening before making any decisions.

friends romans, countrymen . . . it is a happy day that war has been averted for now. Assyria has signed a treaty to stop all piracy. We will see now wether or not they agree to stop tresspassing and sign a peace treaty. No more breaking treaties, eh?
