ACK! This is driving me nuts. I've built my civ to the strongest and most advanced in the game. The year is around 1924. Everytime I get around there, almost half of my cities will revolt even though none of my cities are under 77 on the happy level. Is this a function of the game trying to introduce something new to me? Or just a bug? Because I have stealth units watching my cities and none of the enemies units have penetrated my area. If I continue to play, and retake my cities, in a round or two half will revolt again@! So, I need to know whats going on with the game? Am I doing something wrong, I am at war with one nation, but like I said, my lowest happy rated city is 77 and my overall is around 80. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

One thing you may try is to also move your Capitol to a more central location, for you also recieve - NEGATIVE POINTS for distance from Capitol.
I believ that J Blthy has most probably answered your question, sounds like you have too many cities..which alas CAN be resolved through scenario making for I too think Large civs are great!!
I also love HUGE GROWTH and Fast growth and I simply Abhor slow games...slow as in my attached buddy here...
~Peace~

........ this is science fiction, but havent you built ai entity ? it has 3 percent chance of revolting, but in reality it took me 20 percent cities in one turn.
i also think its city limit, but before reaching maximum number of cities u always get note that more cities will reach unhapinnes. so if u remember something like that, everything is clear.
