  • Lack of Music

Hi Ive got the Xplosiv version of CTP (cheap 5.99 one no paperwork) Its good but there is no music the CD has 11 tracks the first being the program the rest of the tracks should be music but they dont play. They all last different lengths 6 min 2 min etc so i think the music is there but when i play them in the game or using media player of a normal stereo system i get about 3 seconds of faint garbled sound and then all is quiet. The track continues to play but there is no sound and its the same garbled sound for all tracks. All other games seem to work and soundcard should be compatible. Any clues??

My original, boxed CTP doesn't have music as CD audio either.

Well, it should have, Tattila, mine *does*.

Maybe your CD is broken, Quickbeam? If the tracks are there but they don't play in an audio player (e.g. a regular stereo or walkman), there's got to be something physically wrong with the CD. But that's just my non-expert opinion...

This is CTP 1? I wonder, have I even tried it?! I remember bonking my head to walls trying to figure out what format they are, and could get my hands only to the install music (.wav), figuring I must have tried it on regular cd also.... Original, not greatest hits or similar, big cardboard-box and all...

Mine's the same, maybe they didnt put the music on the Xplosiv version, its strange that there are all those tracks on the CD. From the noise I'd say they were data tracks.

Heck, I actually managed to put the cd into a player, and by Jove! The musics are actully CD-DA. One learns new things everyday.

It is possible to extract the audio data from the CD, unfortunatly you need a audio grabber program to get the track.
