  • PW bug

I've encountered - when modifying tile improvements - a bug where a tile imp (in this case roads) can't be built until you have more PW than it actually costs. I'm told this is the case normally with Sonar Bouys but I've never built those...

Does anyone know anything about this?

Sorry old chap, I have seen and created a lot of bugs through my trial and erro-ridden process, but never ran across that!

The game is a bug, with six legs and wings. Oh and it stings also.

Are you refering to how one cannot place an imporvement on terrain, because it costs more PW on different terrain? If so, I would not classify that as a bug.

If not, then I haven't an idea of what you speak of.

Do you meant that if, for example, roads cost 20 to place on grasslands and 100 to place on glacier then it is necessary to have 100 PW to place roads on grassland?

I've never had that problem. You speak of C:CtP 1 or 2?

CTP1. I'm not sure if that was the cause of the problem. All I know (possibly with different numbers - this was a very long time ago) is that the roads cost 40 PW to place, but you couldn't place them unless you had at least 100 PW (but it still used up only 40).

As far as I know, Roads cost 60 in plains and grassland. They cost 200 in forests and such. Would you know how to recreate the anomally in order to study it?

I do remember one time having the appearance of a mine improvement on a forest tile, but actually it was on an adjacent mountain, but when I placed it it went on the orest. Now, for real, I didnt cheat, it was a a fluke or bug, but when I went to the city screen, it showed on the mountain, but when you were just panning over the landscape it "appeared" to me as well as others that the mine was indeed on the forest. Odd, very odd .

I was wondering if same thing happened to you , but with requiring more than normal on your display, then taking just the normal amount from your coffer??

                  ~sigh~

So many bugs, so little time to study them, I do remember early on when game first came out, in Multiplaying we would refer to CTP as Crash To Powerless but such as life, its just odd when it does these things.
