  • Newbie question about music theme!

    Hi all,

I'm a first timer in these forums with a
    simple (?) question...

Is it possible to "extract" the music theme
from CTP? Looking through ctp's directories
I found files with .zfs extension....
Sorry but I have no idea how to open those

    Any help would be appreciated

It's on the CD. Just put it in your regular CD player and press Play.... (Don't play the first track though, that contains all the data and could very well damage your audio equipment)

Also you can use an audio CD ripper to rip all audio tracks to .wav format in your hard disk. AudioGrabber is a good one to start with.

It is possible to extract the wav files from the zfs file, using a ZFS reader program written by Martin (the Dane) Bo Vestegard. Trouble is that it is almost impossible to find

Gotcha. Download it from the CtP section here

They are pretty cool. A couple of them are eerily reminiscent of one of my favorite groups, Dead can Dance. One even sounds like the singer, Lisa gerrard.

              I'm a n00b...

'I just gave the CD a whirl in my player and noticed a few things about the track listing,

Track 1 is a big blck of data
Track 2 is the install music
Tracks 3-9 are the music files from in-game (I think they are all in order seeing as how 'the Void' is track 9)
Track 10 is another block of data.

I'll look at this closer when I get home.
