Have a old issue of PC Gamer that has a Call to Power pull out add. Expand Your Horizons title.
Shows cites under the sea and in space showcaseing its manny features.
For some reason didnt see this game in the stores when it first game out but did find it for 10 dollars in a sale bin.
I liked the game but found that it needed to be moded and files tweaked to change some short comings.But as is it can hold your intrest.
Started with Civ2 like many in here and kept a eye on any new game that was like it.
CtP2 seemed to fit the bill. Had picked this one up before CtP. Has many new features in diplomacy -more options for the end game and new units.The AI didnt have the tactics to keep up which made the game a push over by mid game.
Along came Dale(many others) with mods to make it one of the best Civ games to date. Well still have to pick up Civ4.
Now with code work going on for CtP2 and new builds with Civ3 features (thank you E!) the AI has been reworked to perfection. Not by given the AI a pile of cheats in the DiffDB text file.
In any case both CtP 1 and 2 must have had alot thought put in to it as both have so much depth to offer.
