It seems to me that you can use another player. I'm a newbie at this but I think I understand the concept. I give you my e-mail adress and get a file which I can start by double-clicking it. Then I use my turn and end the turn. I file is made and I mail it to the next person.

That's it?

I hope my civilization is not doing too bad. I guess it'll need some work and diplomacy to get me out of a tricky situation. BTW, how IS diplomacy done in a multiplayer game, through e-mail or in the game itself? Or is there no diplomacy and no alliances?

There was a rebellion in the Canadian Empire and a new leader was chosen:

Murlock Darkheart sends his friendly greetings to all civilizations.

All offending armies will be withdrawn and diplomatic negotiations can commence. We advise all civilizations to do the same and withdraw any armies from our territories that can cause a threat or a misunderstanding.

From now on the Canadian Empire will not tolerate any violation into it's territory so that diplomatic issues can be resolved without pressure.
