  • 4 Player game

If anyone is interested in joining a PBEM game with 4 players the layout follows.

    Our players are:
    Centreline05
    Johngalt137
    EPW (5/26/2010)
    -DudeFromCentreline'sWork (Out 6/25/2010)
    +Ricketyclick (6/26/2010)

The map is set up so that each player controls 2 civilizations: one on a medium sized island, and one on the central landmass. The map is available upon request.

Edit: We aren't using this map. We can't seem to make the quickstart mod work with it, despite a great number of attempts.

    Wonders: ON
    Nukes: Undecided
    Pollution: OFF

I'll play. I would like to see the map if either one of you has seen it though.

I would like to play too, but I'll be moving this summer and be gone for almost a month before that--so I'd probably ruin the game by stalling it for a long time right after it starts. If anyone drops out though, I'll be available to sub by sometime in August.

When are you free to knock the first five turns or so out?

It looks like the map we are planning on using won't work with the quickstart without crashing. Ergo we will be using a random map. I'm going to send the first turn around tonight.

Questions about the settings. I think we'll all be voting on these things, let me know what works for you guys:

                Wet-Dry: I vote 30% (mostly wet)
                Warm-Cold: I vote 30% (mostly cold)
                Ocean-Land: I vote 70% (mostly Land)
                Island-Continent: I vote 70% (mostly Continent)
Uniform-Diverse: I vote 20% (mostly uniform) (Hoping that this will give us similar start location-strengths)
Few Goods-Many Goods: I vote 0% (Few goods)

Wonders: I vote on. (Since this is a multiplayer game, should someone get ahead with a wonder other players can gang up on him to catch up. Also we could ban specific wonders. (Edison's Lab, London Exchange, and Labyrinth come to mind).

Nukes: I vote on. (MAD is effective in multiplayer games).

Pollution: I vote on. (Removing it loses a whole section of the game and managing it is more interesting in games with large numbers of players, and could provide reason to gang up on a polluter threatening the world.)

                Bloodlust: I vote off.

                I vote donut world.

I think we had it worked out fine, lets do wet, warm, ocean, continent,
diverse with few goods. Make the nuke wonder, turn off pollution and
bloodlust i don't know but whatever you think best, minimize bands of
barbarians. Your next WWII turn is attached.

What parts are you most attached to EPW?

In order of importance my votes:
                      1. Few Goods
                      2. Wonders On
                      3. Uniform
                      4. Pollution
                      5. Wet
                      6. Nukes on
                      7. Mostly Continental
                      8. Warm
                      9. Mostly Land
                      10. Bloodlust off

Also I assume the way the 4x rule works is that once the game gets down to 1 v 1 the 4 x rule applies, or once one civ is 4x the sum of the others.

                        Wonder OFF
                        Pollution OFF

Give me one of those, and we can use you and your friends settings for the rest.
