Welcome!
The official home of this tournament is at the weplayciv site:
However, since this tournament was organized here I will maintain this thread as well.
There are 10 participants in this double elimination tournament. In a double elimination tournament you must lose twice in order to be eliminated from the bracket. The initial seeds have been chosen randomly.
The Tournament Bracket:
This set-up may seem rather peculiar, especially in round 2 where the loser of game 1 doesn't move to the loser's bracket but rather stays in the winner bracket. This is a consequence of having ten players, rather than 8 or 12.
Another peculiarity is that games 13, 15, 16, 18, and 20 are played only "if necessary". This is because it is possible that one of the players has already been eliminated from the tournament by losing twice previously, and the game need not be played.

3. Enter the correct settings

How to load a game
If you did not create the game, on the first turn you will receive one normal PBEM save and one regular save. In order to open the ladder, you have two choices:
1. Put it in a save game folder such as Civilization-Call To Power\ctp_program\ctp\save\games\1234 and load it from there.
2. Add the .csg file extension to the file and load it like a normal PBEM.
After the first turn, you'll notice that one game is half a turn behind the other. In order to correct this, you'll need to skip the leading game for one turn so that they will play evenly.

addme Messages mod by Mathematician
This file allows each player to individually configure whether he likes each of the following features:
- city growth messages
- bombardment messages
- empty queue messages when the last item in the queue was any unit, instead of just a settler-type unit
The questions are asked at the beginning of the first turn of each player. Also, the selection can be changed
later in the game by pressing the "m" key.
