  • Maximum number of cities

well as you all know about this
you can have a limited number of cities which depends on your type of government, and if you manage to
have more you'll suffer unhappiness all over your settlement.
is there anyway to stop the unhappiness or remove the city limit?
    I changed a line in government.txt
and another line in another file which was reffering to empire size unhappiness or something similar
now, happiness is stuck at 75 but my cities keeping revolt ; in groups !!
I mean at every turn like 30 cities would revolt !
well,is there anything I can do?

Wouldn't be more interesting with all these restrictions, making it harder to manage, requiring a more clever strategy to lead a game to a successful ending?

Why don't you just add entertainers to cure the unhappiness, I never had any problems with to many cities. Also mind controllers and the AI-entity help. However, for the AI-entity you have to save often and early, so that when it thinks it has an own will you can go back some save games. Well I also remember that lowering the sliders for one turn could also appease the AI-entity.

yeah I guess if you have mind controlers in your cities, happiness doesnt drop any more than 75
and yes itd be more fun to play this way,but I didnt know you can stop this kind of unhappiness

        I encountered another problem today,
after some turns, half of my cities revolt and a message pops up saying an alien entity have taken over their masters! and I havent even started the alien life project ! well actualy my cities belong to the player that has started the project now!
        is this normal?

That thing is called AI entity, a wonder you can build to force your citizens to be happy.

Unfortunately, sometimes it has its own will. The best is save as early and often, and when this sort of thing happens reload an older savegame. I also think that changing the sliders before the event helps and also a mind controller in the city of the AI entity. But of course you should try.
