Can't see trade routes

Hello. About four years ago I bought Call to Power I at Best Buy. Since then, the servers have gone down, so me and a friend wanted to play multiplayer. We absolutely could not play over LAN with Hamachi, so we found our way to your site and downloaded the serverlist and patch. We can play online now smoothly, however oddly enough, the trade route lines have vanished on my game. I still see the goods moving along them, however the actual line is not visible. I'm running the most recent version of the game (the updater says I don't need to update), on Windows XP, in compatibility mode for Windows 98. The bug was not present before installing the DLL patches to allow for networked play.

Has anyone else experienced this problem or know how to fix it?

Several people have installed the fix but none has reported such a problem before. Does your friend also experiences the same issue?
