you're finally coming around prince. good for you. I personally love wonders. They're the wild cards. In real life there are huge wild cards like wonders. Stock exchanges have helped economies bring in lots of money for the nation, and satellites help people see everywhere and everything. I think the developers actually took time to think what the real life wonders actually did for nations and then made it equally strong in the game of civ. some wonders can totally turn the game around (which makes it much more exciting) but they're not too powerful. If you can beat a person that has all the great and powerful wonders it shows that you're pretty freakin good at Civ, but it is foolish not to go for them.
