connecting to the lobby

I downloaded the server file to try and play this game online something I miss doing since it was first released ages ago. I can see the server and select it but it wont allow me to join the lobby, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok i think my problem is i didnt do that anet thing, I have to be honest and say I dont understand what thats talking about at all. If someone could take me through step by step of what I have to do to get that part of it to work I would be very grateful.
