Trireme waving white flag

Hi guys!

Sorry for this dumb question, but I got my Linux CTP CD as a free giveaway at a trade show. So I got no manual

I just tried the tutorial game and I'm at war with the Scots. I sometimes see a scottish trireme close by one of my cities with trompets and waving a white flag. I guess it means the Scots have enough of getting beaten up and offer cease fire. But how can I react on this?

Hi,

Don't dismiss the Scots so easily, I only play CtP2 for the time being, but trumpets and white flag means you are being pillaged in any version of CtP!

So, no, Sottish are not surrendering, but instead are plundering your countryside. Happens with land units too. Only way to solve this, is to destroy them or force them out. If you can come to a withdrawal agreement, you can boot them out.
