What do we do with villages we encounter? I seem to recall that we are not supposed to enter them. What does villages only mean? I get the impression they are just to be spawning points for barbarians. Anyway, we Portuguese have encountered a village. At the moment we have scouts watching them but we have not made contact.

Some players make it so no riuins are allowed, actually removing through text the ability for them to even appear.

Wonders, to me, are the crucial part. If someone gets london built then its a very formibdable wonder to be trying to play catchup on.
