    TURN 1
    Steve:
    Hi Max,

Thanks for setting it up. Interesting mod
"lite". Tough to decide how to spend all that
"stuff". Good luck! May the best rabbit win!!

    Steve

    TURN 18-19
    Steve:
    Greetings, Englishman!
    Max:
Well god day to you Sir.

Didn't expect to see you here - I was waiting for someone on a horseback another place.
    Steve:
And good day to you too. Please to meet you!

    TURN 20-21
    Max:
Working on a long dusty road I see......
    Steve:
Yes. And I think the workers are about to go on
strike due to poor working conditions.

    TURN 23-25
    Steve:
I see then... And you call ME a WARMONGER??
    Max:
He was too close to one of my precious trade routes.
    Steve:
Let us just remember who it was who drew FIRST
    BLOOD! -Rambo
    Max:

    TURN 26-30
    Steve:
What's this? Another English city? Perhaps it
    is undefended??
    Max:
    Try it out .
    Steve:
No, thanks. I do not think you are bluffing
    Max:
You did the right thing. But you phalanx might find himself trapped anyway - unless he moves east/southeast very quickly.
    Steve:
I understand. But you may find the same with yours if you continue heading westward.
    Better to go back north.
    Max:
Ok I will. If you let your warrior "fall back" - I can't turn north.
    Steve:
Your phalanx can go north now. It is your only free direction. If not, there must be a bug.
    Max:
    On my way.
    Steve:
Okay, apparently neither one of us wants war at this time -- except for your vicious slaughter of my mounted archers!
    Max:
Vicious slaughter..... he was playing "poker" with some of my men with a trade route as reward to the winner, when suddenly he was seen drawing a card from the bottom of the stack.... therefore!
    Steve:
He he... I told him not to get caught!

    TURN 47-49
    Steve:
    Spain... Ungrateful bastards!
    Max:
In that case I continue my growth - while you are busy somewhere else .
    Steve:
Ha! Well, I wouldn't call it much of an attack.
He lost a phalanx and a horse archer when he attacked my fortified warrior and now he is mad... won't even accept a gift.
    Max:
Uupppssss - that was one of your trade routes.......
    Steve:
    You "x"ickens! Now stop that!
    Max:
    Steve:
    TURN 61-62
    Steve:
Alright, we are even. You killed one of my units, I killed one of yours (likewise, your phalanx was getting too close to my cities).
And you pirated my caravan I pirated yours. If you wish to continue with this silly skirmish war, then so be it! ;-)
    Max:
Forward! Full steam - and keep the blood boiling!
Besides, it was a trade route to Mexico City and the Mexicans owned the camels ;-).....
    Steve:
Ahhh... I see. Poor Mexicans. Blood is cooling.
And just what are you up to mister RABBIT!
    Max:
Am I rude if I write: "To win!" ??????
    Steve:
No! You are not rude if you write that! Now, if you are to win, then I am to lose!
    TURN 61-62
    Max:
Nice to have a look at the "attitude-screen".
It just shows one big happy family - all with faces from "I don't care for you" to "mad" and "angry" towards the others :-))......
    Steve:
    Yes. Everybody's happy!

    TURN 82-84
    Max:
Seems like I have to reduce your income a little.
    Steve:
You are not very nice... And you call ME a warmonger???!!!
    Max:
That's the way it used to be - but of course, during your CTP-vacation, I have played quite some games - lost most of them, but..... I got a little more experience from every game.
By the way, it seems like you have a huge trade monopoly some where - maybe even one just as big as Keygen gave me (he started the game) in our challengegame?! He gave me 4 (FOUR) elephants within my capitols working zone (turn 0) !!!!!! And more in the nearby cities.
I have never seen such a luck in my entire CTP-life...... and do I use it????? Ohh, YES SIR, I do.
I can quote that now, because I know Keygen have had a spy 'round my capitol, so he knows already!!

    Steve:
I can see you have gained much experience.

My trade was hard fought. I had to search far and wide to get the good cities. But, now, it
seems you like to brutally murder my peaceful tradesmen! What shall I do?!

Mexico has finally sued for peace after being taught a lesson or two on the battlefield.

    TURN 95-98
    Max:
    Hi Pal.
I tell you.... it's really cold in the nights here out in the desert hills. Even though you have your long black leather coat. I know, 'course I have one myself......
    Steve:
Well, hello there, Mr. POLLUTER! I sent my toxicological "inspector" up to cold cold England (but getting warmer!!) to try to figure out who is causing all this GLOBAL WARMING! Turns out it is THEE!! Now get your butt over Kyoto!!!!
    Max:
    Steve:
Now then... Seems your counter-intelligent group is very good. Damn!
    Max:
Ahhh, those blue-dressed Mexican women. Always on the wrong place at the wrong time.....
    Steve:
Yes, but they sure make good carnitas!
    TURN 99-100
    Max:
    Found again!
And a special thx to the fair Mexicans. They have made an excellent work, mapping a great part of the dark unknown land south of PDRE (Peoples Democratic Republic of England).

    Sign.
    Chairman Maximus.
One does still remember St.Jon.. PDR(x)...

    Steve:
Damn again! Mexicans. Why do I tolerate them?
    Max:

And that's all folks - for the time being.

          Well here is more:

          Turn 111
          Max
And the Americans are winners with.... 3 chimneys.
          Steve
hehe... I'll show you how to pollute. Now
          that's some serious pollution!
          Max
          Waauuuuh. I'm "out-polluted" with 1:100........ Glad that wasn't the PG .
Now of course Comrade Maximus of the PDRE is working on something else dirty .

            Steve
Wow! Your science took off like gang busters.
What to do... what to do.
            Max
Ohh, that was nothing. Just an "old" advance, I forgot to research earlier.......
            Steve
I see. Nothing to worry about then.
            Max
No not really (whistling like a blackbird, turning (my) back to Comrade Steve, looking up the sky - real innocent).
            Steve
            Yeah, real innocent.
            Max
Ohh, you are investigating the sea-floor too?!
            Steve
            No, I'm writing a book.
            Max
A book?!?! - in that case I'm working on a manual.......
            Steve
A manual? Okay... A manual about what?
            Max
Actually. The manuals are finish, just working on some details....

You know, how to keep automatic guns working under all conditions, how to use sonar etc.

But this is insider-knowledge - kind of "comrade-to-comrade", so pls. keep that for yourself.

Comrade Maximus, still looking up the sky.

                The final update:

                Turn 140-142

                Steve
                Yes.I resign.You outwitted me!
                Congratulations!!
                Max
I think I got you!. For the first time.....

BTW, my beloved neighbour the Mexicans for once ACCEPTED an exchange. They now have tank warfare. I hope they will be able to use it .
                Steve
You obviously have the upperhand.Well done!
                I'm scrambling just to survive.
                Max
                Steve
                Yes.
                Max
                Quiet turn.
                Steve
                Max
Seems like the revolutionaries are busy these days. Someone has too much gold .

                BTW: A full tank-division is superior to a nearly full fascists-division .

                Turn 136-139

                Steve
It was the New Spanish. For some very strange reason all my cities lost about 10 happiness for one turn, but now they are okay.
I lost Hermosillo to the new Spaniards via revolt.
                Max
Geeeee, that was frightening..... that sound.

Who owned the cities, that revolted??? Don't think they were mine (but "one" can't be sure).

And your mistake was (I guess): You forgot to research Optics (and/or Medicine) - without those, you will not get the option to go for Mass-productions.
                Steve
It is a good game and you're playing it very well. You're right about the tanks and fighters. I fell way behind in science and that really hurt me.You haven't won yet, though! I made many mistakes in this game, but I think I can recover.Time will tell!
                Max
Thanks..... what to say to such flatter?!

Well, I have been (still is) teammate with Keygen in the SuperLeague matches. And I have had some matches with EPW too. Those have really "given" me a little experience.

As for the game - you need fighters and tanks. Fascists are not enough. They are too slow.
                Steve
You're doing very well. You have improved quite a bit!It will be hard for me to
                fight through your defenses.

                Steve
                Max
Right I am. And so are you I think .

Guess this will be a matter of fast we can build new units....... (therefore I have started disbanding "your" cities and selling off oil-refs. when I can).
                Steve
You're beginning to lose some steam.

                Turn 132-135

                Max
                No, not Damn. But Lovely
                Steve
                Damn!
                Max
2 other cities captured instead of those lost.
                Steve
A very wise plan. But remember that if you spread me out, you also spread yourself out.

Getting bloody now...2 cities recaptured. More to come.
                Max
I didn't want to bang my head into your iron-curtain..... that is, not before I "got" you to spread your units over a greater area.
                Steve
                I see.Very clever!
                Max
I have. One tower conquered (and a little more).
                Steve
I saw one of your spies poking around my neighbourhood. He hung himself before I got a chance to talk to him.

Now, about your great noise... Bring em on!LOL!

                Turn 127-131

                Max
                Pure waste I would say.

I have disbanded all my phalanx in my cities..... I know I'll loose much "power" doing that, but still.

BTW - "the great noise" is moving next turn......................
                Steve
More Cavalry to play with. I need to get rid of them anyway to clear the way for the modern units.

                Have fun killing them!
                Max
It might have worked - not sure. But 3 stacks would have done it.
                Steve
Well, that's your opinion and I respect that.

Cavalry are good units if used right. I should have known you had that city well defended. I misused the Cav there. Let's see, a nine stack of cavalry is 45 attack
points. I would guess 3 musketeers and 3 phalanx?? Yes? That's 18 raw power then modified with city walls and fortified in terrain.

Yes, I could see why EPW's cavalry lost.

That kind of a stack of defenders would require probably TWO 9 stacks of cav I would guess.
                Max
I have "discharged" cavs as a preferred unit.

In one of my latest games with EPW, he attacked my capitol with a 9stack - I had (as far as I remember) only 3 medieval and 3 ancient defenders fortified behind city walls. I was so sure, that he would win, so I moved my capitol (a rush-buy
far away from the frontline) - but the attack failed!!!!

He had several of 9stacks lurking 'round, but after that, he just didn't dare to attack. That is, not before he got battleships and marines..... Then he won the game .

But since that game, I have changed my preferences quite a bit about advances and units.
                Steve
I see.Well, I fell into your trap... Poor horsies must face the brunt of our marines and fighters from town.

Seems its heating up a bit more. You and your "tests"! You couldn't just live in peace, could you?
                Max
Ohh, don't underestimate the grey ones. They just have to be combined with “another" unit....... You will soon see what I'm thinking on. Don't think you horses will like the noise.
                Steve
So, the Pikemen were victorious in the one-on-one fight. Seems your pretty Marines were not as tough as thought they were. Now your pink pant glamour boys (a.k.a.flyboys) are a different story... damn.
                Max
Uhh, that wasn't a good idea. A terrible mess and pure waste.

I had to send in a fighter to finish the job.

                Turn 124-126

                Steve
Thank you kind sir. Now your little skirmishes are beginning to annoy me!

Flaunting your technology I see. Very pretty plane you have there! And such cute uniforms on those Marines!

Please send that one in the southeast up against my lone pikemen fortified in the mountains. I'd be curious to see who wins.
                Max
Since we haven't "discussed" that issue - and most important, that the GT-wonder you conquered wasn't "national" - you can keep it.

But as a little information..... In my game with Keygen, I could easily take 2 AI-cities with active wonders, but I have avoided those two until now (I do not need them either ).

If necessary (if the AI becomes too annoying), then I will have to attack the cities with fighters, artillery, bombers etc, until the city goes down to size 1. Then I'll take the cities and it - with it also the wonder(s) - would be destroyed.

BTW - I have started to make a little fun. Just to test you......
                Steve
Oh, Great Maximus of the English.

Now, in the spirit of fairness, I must ask you what you think I should do with the wonders I "captured" from the Mexicans -- most notably Galileo's Telescope. The letter of the law says that I cannot "build" any wonders, but nothing is written about wonders captured.

I do not want to taint this great battle of civilizations with a squabble about this petty contention, so I will destroy all these great structures if it pleases you.

                Quinns of the Americans
                Max
Sorry. The people of my glorious nation does not need a Monarch. They have ME .......
                Steve
The Spanish Pirates now? So you all want to gang up on the stupid Americans? Oh well, no real harm there. Plenty of spare caravans! ;-)

The Mexicans are turning out to be complete weaklings. About 4 more turns and I should be done with them.

I hope you enjoy my gift!
                Max
Hmmm, should I give the Mexicans a little help? Or should I wait and see?

On one hand, the Mex doesn't have any "dangerous" advances, that you could win - on the other, you continue to send spies against me, so.....

Anyway - you have pirates in your backyard , so be careful out-there.
                Steve
                Hermosillo is now My-mosillo!

Bloody backstabbing Mexicans. Serves them right.
First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.
