Proposed new Format for 3rd season of CTP Super League

I want to start by saying I look forward to the unexplored opportunities that lie ahead.

I am heading up this area now and am trying to be a bit more creative than the way things have been done in the past.

I see game going on 2+ years and it seems that many lose interest due to a mundane pace and lack of long term commitment.

Basically I want to streamline the game play and expedite the finish games so we can have more matches.

What I would propose, and keep in mind no one has told me yes or no but to simply take over so this is where I excel, creating and implementing and with checks and balances, improve trough tweaking and reconfiguring what works and what doesnt.

I would say we move to a small map with 4 spots.

2 human and 2 ai.

Bloodlust on.

Winner is that whom wipes out the rest of players, both human and ai.


The second choice would be 2 humans and 4 ai on a regular map.

Same conditions.

Now, I propose a forfeit victory if a player becomes unresponsive.

I see far too much "lets wait because they are an important part of this community."

Its ok, let them come back and jump in and start another.

Then I will start a poll for scoring.

Let me know what you think of these so we may move forward.

You may still compete in the second season. I jusyt propose a simpler third season to get moving to involve more people.

I shall also start a thread for those interested in playing this format!

Troll, SuperLeague is based on teams playing both 1x1 and 2x2 PBEM games.

Only 1x1 would sound more like PBEM Challange Ladder games than SuperLeague, even in the case of teams...

Keygen as I value your input, I guess we could organize a Challenge league setup where we assign games

Ill do some thought process so we can involve as many as want

I just want to keep simple scoring and fast paced games

Pitboss, Keygen, Pitboss! It's actually better like PBEM. It automatically monitors where the game is, can, IIRC, be set to automatically "next" someone, and if all the folks are online, it can be played very fast for a period of time.

Sorry for posting irrelative things to SuperLeague but I hadn't speak to Solver for a long time and we used to talk a lot

What I honestly am looking for is to move forward, not be so stagnant as this has been a constant source of complacency and turnover.

I am trying to come up with some alternatives whole still preserving the originality of the intent of SL

I am mew to Moderatorship.

I dont know If I am allowed to create a subforum or not

If not I would say I want to form 3 different leagues.

First) Continue to its finish the current Super League

Second) Create a new,trimmed down version without all the excessive micromanaging.

Third) KISS(Keep it Simple)

I get bored with these huge games that take forever, they are hard to follow and even harder to motivate me self.


Here is what I propose and want to give it a try:

We start a list of whom wants to play, play as many games as you like with whomever you like.

The winner is by conquests or last man standing.

I am trying to generate more interest and feel this would be bext way to do so.

Please comment and we can take it from there.

Oh and no "I got "_" points for being first at turn 9

I set up a post detailing points awarded.
