Hebrews are asked to attack the Egyptians (that they are already at war with) in order to improve their opinion of us.

Egyptian slaver learns about the other side of his deeds by now strengthening the devoted working population in Novgorod, which has had a fresh Phalanx rush bought to guard him.

Some more aqueducts have been ordered from our engineers.

The Warrior at the southern Egyptian border was joined by a Phalanx.

A mine was begun on the diamnond deposit near Kiev to be worked by the new citizien in 2 turns, in order to accelarate construction of the now being built East India Company.

Same procedure for the ruby deposit near Novisibirsk and a random mountain close to Kazan.

The Scots still trespass on our lands, but no treaty has been broken, so our infallible God-in-reign discovers that our diplomats had mistakenly arranged an agreement with the Scots to protect our environment last turn instead of the stop trespassing demand that the fools were supposed to issue.
Error corrected now, but to cover our mistake the Scots and us still work more closely together in order to protect Mother Nature (who is actually a sister to our divine leader as one of the high priests points out, while pulling a pinch of a strange herb into his nose).

      Back to politics though...

Our newly reinforced city of Novgorod flourishes and produces a baby boom, with the help of some Egyptian farmers formerly known as slavers. The city is already dubbed "Settler factory" by some of our more herb-leaning advisors.

Egpytian slaver discovered before our capital just a second too late. Will have to be sent farming next turn.

Minsk Diplomat reports that we didn't miss a precious trade good to the west coast of the city and so prepares for his future duty as attaché to the Scots.

A couple of our impressive fleet of Triremes moves to explore the Egyptian-controlled part of our southward sea, as our part of that sea is now fully explored. One or two Triremes will remain to protect our local fishers.

Hebrews were further incited against the Egyptians and, after some careful asking, they offer us 300 and 200 gold, respectively. What a nice and charming people they are.

Agriculture will be forever changed by a new revolution in harvesting our fields made possible by new innovative tools and seasonal use of the land.
Our scientists now hope to construct an artifical timing device called "Clock". In full ignorance of the meaning of the word "timing" they estimate that this device may be invented in something before 500 years. Luckily time is meaningless for the divine beings ruling this country.

Cities that can afford it are preparing to make use of the new building type named "Mill" that is said to greatly improve productivity.

The Egpytian slaver before Moscow is tricked into inactivity for one more turn in hopes of capturing him next turn.

A Caravan is rerouted to the safer and more lucrative route of carrying beaver from Novgorod to Ekaterinburg.

Hebrews are strengthend in their belief that the Egyptians are the source of all evil and reward our role in their insight with 200 gold pieces.

More cities discover the value of the wonderful new tool that is the Mill and instruct their engineers to build them some.

Moscow gets to benefit from Egyptian emigrant farmers as well. They are convinced to specialize in lumberjacking to try and make our capitol the first city to finish a Mill countrywide.

The "Infrastructure Act" is imposed and 60% PW rate for the turn, while still finishing 3 items, will bring us back to 2000 PW next turn.

Scientists researching articial timing devices speak of progress when they discover that the new devices will need some sort of pointing component to indicate the current time.
Our leader's reaction is the resolution for his future incarnations to increase education level among the population.

The primitive Thai claim to have found such a thing as the "Philosopher's Stone". Our philosophers grab a pinch of herbs and proclaim that they are "more stoned than those Thai will ever be".

An unknown tribe far away is rumored to work on a city forbidden to the majority of their people. Our wise men seriously doubt the usefulness of such an endeavour. They speculate there may be good reasons we haven't heard of these "Cubans" before.

Despite all countermeasures people have been abducted from our western outpost of Odessa. Who else if not the Egyptians could be behind this ?
The Hebrews are told of this and they agree to donate 200 gold to us, so we can fight our mutual enemy more effectively.

The beautiful, yet unpronouncable, city of "Tyumen" is founded to continue our efforts to exploit the mineral deposits of our second largest mountain range. A road is being constructed to continue our conquest of the mountains by future pioneers.

The Egpytians pay for their ignorance (of our supremacy) as we destroy 3 or more of their trade routes with a brilliant Trireme captain and dozens of heroic ..well.. oarsmen.

Two Aqueducts, a Mill, a Legion and a Longship in our northmost colony are rush bought thanks to the generous support of the Hebrews. PWs are maxed for the turn to continue constructing roads and other infrastructure in our prospering empire.

The city of Vladivostok is disbanded in order to be rebuilt elsewhere.

Rumor has it that the Cubans complete their "Forbidden City". Our enemies, the Thai, respond by declaring peace on them, presumably since their building of an inaccessible city has proven that they pose no threat to anyone.

People again disappear from our outpost of Odessa. This time, however, a slaver of our own is ready to punish the Egyptian perpetrators with hard lumberjacking work among the people whose families they took.

Ekaterinburg beats our capitol in being the first city to finish their construction of a "Mill". People are proud of their accomplishment, even though it was partly funded by Hebrew resources. Moscowans look at Ekaterinburgers with envy and respect.

The beautiful city of Bryansk as our far-northern outpost is disbanded to be refounded at a safer and more lucrative location.
Before the abandoning of the city, the citizens had constructed a Longship to take them abroad.

The Egyptians don't learn it and another trade route falls victim to our eager oarsmen.
Meanwhile, the sister Trireme discovers that the supposed part to the south of the Egyptian sea may merely be a larger bay.

Former Vladivostok settlers found a new city just south to their previous home. They initially call this place "Tomsk", but it is later decided to rename it to "New South Vladivostok" to remind of the abandoning of the settlers' previous home town.
This new city now marks our continued usage of our largest mountain range.
Since we are virtually swimming in infrastructure tokens (PWs), a road through plain terrain to our eastern border is envisioned.

Scientists say that their idea of "pointing components" in the artifical timing devices ("Clocks") they are planning to invent may have to be reconsidered. They estimate an additional 100 years until they will make that significant progress in the way people plan their workdays.
With a heavy heart, wages are cut nationwide to fund the scientists' research. It may save them 50 years, they say. And if anyone knows what time means, .. it's certainly not them.

A Thai delegation visits us, we joke about cities that no one is allowed to enter, and the surprising result is a peace treaty.
On the other front, we confirm the Hebrews that Egypt is still the hold point of what may turn out to even be an entire "Axis of Evil" and they reward us with 2x200 gold pieces.
This proves once again that once you know your enemies, this makes everyone else your best friends.

Talking about enemies, our heroic oarsmen managed to give total control of an Egyptian crab resource to our coastal city of Kursk.

The supposed bay in the Egyptian South Sea turns out to be a larger bay than expected, maybe even an ocean after all. Our Longship moves further in that direction.

Samurai conference near Kursk ! It is decided that the Association of Russian Samurai (ARS) (TM) will help defend our western border.

Finally, a city with access to triple beaver resources is founded between Novgorod and Ekaterinburg. It is called "Riga".
Locals soon start chanting their motto "You, give me beaver !".

An embassy with the Scots is established. We notice that they are roughly equally advanced as us. As a token of goodwill, and after a careful request, they offer us Republic as a gift.
Our Deity-in-reign determines, however, that enacting it would be a sacrilege and so our government form remains Theocracy. We may offer the knowledge of Republic to some primitive tribes in the future though. That is, as soon as we run out of glass beads.

A Warrior unit deep behind the Egyptian lines recovers from its earlier losses and continues exploration of the Wild West.

The Scots may be a little too ecstatic about their gift of Republic to us when they proclaim that the world has entered a new age that they call "Renaissance". They can't refer to the renaissance of our divine leader in a new host body though, because that event is only due in some 150 years.
We should export more herbs to them so that they may see the truth and not consider themselves superior to our culture, which they now claim is still "Ancient".

A Trireme spots a large land-based army of a Knight and 3 other units on Egyptian soil. It is somewhat away from our border though. Also, the ARS (Association of Russian Samurai - TM) thinks that handling the enemy is merely a matter of enough honour. They accept reinforcements nonetheless. They say there is "enough honour to be shared".

The bay to the South Egyptian Sea gets bigger and bigger as exploration continues and probably is an ocean in disguise.

Hebrews offer us 400 more in gifts. With the new funds several rush buys are paid for. This will make Minsk the second city to beat Moscow to a Mill, resulting in quite some hurt feelings among citizens of our capitol. PWs are maxed once again.
With all the remaining PWs trees are cut to bring irrigation to the north of our largest mountain range. Colonization of that area is now widely considered to be profitable.

The Egyptian land force follows our Trireme as it heads to the infamous Egyptian capitol city of Thebes. Possibly they fear an invasion. In fact, however, the Trireme is merely exploring and destroying trade routes. We can only imagine what the Egyptian faces will look like when they discover their faulty strategical assessment.

The amazingly successful city of Minsk, upon finishing its Mill improvement, focusses on equipping a Caravan to bring wealth and, thus, education to our country.
Ekaterinburg joins them and equip what will likely be our 3rd Caravan in the near future.

Much to their dismay, and that of our leader, the escapees from the disbandoned city of Bryansk discover that at their targeted location for a new home the Scots have already founded the city of "Melrose". It is decided that they must be taught the proper respect to our culture and so war is declared and their "Melrose" place is annihilated by a Pikeman.
Unfortunately, the Scots are still tired from previous negotiations over technology exchange and refuse to negotiate about a fitting peace treaty following their aggression. And so, chances are that a previously hidden Samurai may soon terminate both the Pikeman and the settler it protects.

The ARS is instructed to remain ready to move to the Scottish border instead and Minsk delays the Caravan for a Pikeman.
Luckily, the Hebrews remain faithful to us and support us with further 200 gold pieces.

Contrary to what was expected, the Scots did not annihilate the Pikeman and settler. They reject gold offers of up to 300 gold pieces, though. And so Settler and Pikeman are moved back into the ship to see if we can make a surprise raid at Bathgate next turn. A nearby Warrior remains in the area to scout for a possible invasion from the Scots.

The Scots are also rumored to now compete with us for the completion of the East India Company.

The city of "Tver" is founded to continue our conquest of the largest mountain range within our domain.

Minsk is set to produce a Longship in order to meet any Scottish aggression from the sea in the proper way.

The Samurai move further towards what will likely become the Scottish front.

A Scottish Diplomat (read: Spy) turns up in our eastern territory, which only proves that they have been planning to betray us all along. This makes our declaration of war a mere preemptive first strike.
