Well played, my good Cuaich! And even better said. You certainly can turn a phrase for the delight of your readers. (Are you an educator or journalist by trade?)

No, a career in the fileds of creative writing was never my lot. However, I do create corporate special events, and spent many years in the theatre and music worlds, so I guess the knack of putting words together has been picked up by osmosis. Mostly, though, it's just a talent for Bullsh*t., to be honest...

However, I owe it all to my predecessors...you have all been very inspiring, from both a gameplay AND a reporting standpoint!

          if i may note..

i hope we get that triple beaver spot worked.
and the border to the egyptians should be easy to control. just 2 critical land spots.

1450BC- Settler and Phlanax start out on long journey to Beaver river.
                Savastapol begins on a settler.
Gave a gift to pinky..erm hebrews...hopefully we will get their map.

1400BC- Diplomacy works! Hebrews are happy with us and we exchange maps..they have quite a little empire!
Settler in Keiv built, moves east towards Gems+Jade spot.
Warrior in South avoids evil barbarian.
Settler begun in Moscow and Smol-somthing-or-other.

                1350BC- William Wallace finishes Stonehenge
                Pikeman joins glorious Russian Empire.
Fishy thing being built for Minsk

                1300BC- Units move..nothing more.

1250BC- Evil Thai demand that we stop trespassing...I move out of their territory and then accept.

                1200BC - Bureacracy discovered...start
                Pinky finishes Sphinx
                Moscow riots- whoops!

Pharoh dude wants us to leave his land.
Whole bunch of our dudes upset about city size, have to raise wages. (no change in research time)

                1050BC - Novobovalovalisk founded.
Evil barbarian after our settler+phalanx, I decide to let them duke it out..next turn.

1000BC-Brian somebody or other compeltes the labyrinth- (you would think a giant maze with a Minotaur in it would scare traders away wouldnt you? )
our Phalanax destroys stupid barbarian, RUSSIAN MIGHT IS SUPREME.
Found city of Astra near moscow. (Was originally AstraKhan, BUT the damned mongols sure as hell aren't going to conquer my...our...empire)

Note: Settler can either continue to river to get 2 beavers+pearls or
is one space away from 3 beavers. Personally I would rather have the river...but its up to the next player.

                  Nice work, EPW!

Game Note: I ask that players refrain from issuing future move orders for our units. By the same logic, it seems to me that queing(sp?) production goes against the spirit of our game. Each player should have a free hand to do what he thinks is best.

I think that queues and goto orders are a way to let the successors know or remind them, respectively, what the plan of the previous player was. Each player should be free, however, to change them during their own reign.

In the current state of the game, it isn't that much work to do that. And in later stages, this automatization can be kept by the next player and will possibly make the game more playable.

I suppose it's a way to make suggestions, but I figured that's why we're doing the play-by-play turn writeups. For me, at least, it takes a little fun out of it if I have to decide whether or not to continue with my predecessor's plans. But it's all good! Different strokes.

As the greatest, smartest and most likeable people (and therefore leaders) in the whole wide world, I am sure we can come to an agreement on the GoTo Orders and Build Queues. Let's remember who our real enemies are...Everyone Else!!

Great reading in this forum, by the way!

Do we have to play this by a fixed turn order ?
