Need help with multiplayer game

Hi. I am trying to get a multiplayer CTP game started over my home network so my son and I can play a game. We can both start CTP and play on our own, but have not been able to start a multiplayer game. I only have one disc, is that a problem?

We are trying to play over the TCP/IP protocol. We never see the other person in the lobby, and cannot chat. If one of us sets up a game, the other person can see the game, but when they try to join, they get a message that says the game is full.

The network has one computer wired to the router, and the other wireless. I can access both computers, so the network is working. I installed the 1.2 patch I found online, but no help.

Any ideas?

I have 3 pc's and CABLE and a router and ran into same problem.

I was gonna work me and another pc against another human but we could see each other in lobby and I could chat between each other but could not join the game together, and I had 2 CD's of the game


I am wondering if it had to do with the same IP location?

Sounds like the windows xp glitch.

It works for both ctp and ctp2. Hope this helps.
