Invading Space Colonies

I have gotten to the later stages of the game several times and have discovered I don't know how to load units into space planes, etc. and then use them to take over opponents' space colonies. I can attack them with various ships, but not take them over. Any advice?

been a long time

but if I remember, try putting the ship to sleepthen press the unload button

but like I said, been a long time since space warz were a part of my game, usually well over by then

I've never managed to get to space wars myself, so I don't have experience taking over other players' colonies, but I did get to the space age myself many times. It's just that my opponents didn't.

To load units into a space plane, sleep the units you want to load when they are in the same city/airbase as the space plane. Then move the space plane. It will have the units on board.

I imagine if those units are Space Marines, you should be able to unload them onto an enemy colony after it's been thoroughly blasted with spaceship bombardment.
