  • Pbem Scenario Problems 10-14-2005

I am having a problem with scenarios

I can play the scenario single player no problem

I started 2 with humans almost a third fixing to start and here are the problems:

I launched the scenario as host..

The SLIC works fine I have in the scenario folder but the diff.db doesnt for both human players

The const.txt file works fine because I had to start with that in my default file

I moved it out and replaced with the default file after

    Can anyone help me please?

I am having a time with the other player reading the scenario files

Maybe they need them in their scenario folder to read??

    Thanks for any help

If I got it right, then you made a scenario with some values changed in 'diff.db' and 'const.txt'. This kind of scenario must be installed on the computer of every participant or it won't work. If you just add SLIC code or change parameters needed for map creation, then you as creator need the scenario and no one else. This is because the SLIC code and the map are stored in the saved game files, but the settings of files like 'diff.db' are not. Have a look at the 'Apolyton' scenario as an example.
