How to play in internet?

Hi all!
I just want to know, how I can play in the internet.
I updated the game on version 1.2 and then clicked on multiplayer and internet...then just
"connecting on the server" (don't know if it is all right, because I play the german version)...
the bar at the bottom moves left and right...for 10 minutes...nothing happend...now what I have to to that I can play in the internet?

You need an updated servers.dat file.

You can download it here: Updated Server File

and put it in Call to Power\ctp_program\ctp

Oh, and if you have windows xp, you will need to replace some other files if you want to host a game if you are playing someone else with windows xp.

I'm afraid I don't know where you can download them though, hopefully its not an issue.

Cool...but I also like it very much to play with international people...but could you say me when you play? I never saw somebody online...maybe you use a mod and I can't see you, because I just use the version 1.2!

I didn't want to play a game with the email function, because I think this takes a too long time and doesn't makes that much fun!

ich hab ehrlich gesagt keine vorstellung davon, wie das funktioniert. hab mit meinen leuten immer nur hotseat oder pbm gespielt. ist via internet echtzeit, oder rundenbasiert?

Oh...Ansbach is a long way to Aachen, where I live...I would say around 600-700 KM...
And in this years I didn't live...I am born in 1990 =)!
I would be also glad, if you could play a game...but you must know...I am very new in this game!

Jo, denke mal das, das dann rundenbasiert ist...ist dann so wie ein einzelspieler Spiel...und ich denke, dass es wirklich was cooler ist, als per email!

Hosting an MP Game with XP

Is it possible to host a MP game with Windows XP? If so, are there any files I need?

Yes there is a fix. I think it was a fix that went along with the ctp2 source code project but it also works with ctp. I don't know where the files are, Maquiladora posted them a while ago...you could ask him.
