Game Freeze

I just installed CTP on my new computer running xp pro and the game freezes after a few rounds play. Anybody know how to fix this?

I would ask what you have running in background?

what system are you running..(i.e. laptop, RAM amount,processor speed, applications in background,ect.)

Some people do try to run music and play and have had similiar problems is why I ask..

I'm on a laptop pent 4 with no extra programs running aside from my virus protection. The computer doesn't freeze just the game itself.

hmm..i will have to research further..maybe a video/graphics card issue..like a refresh rate??

Have you installed the v1.2 patch?

if your game is a later addition..usually listed as ACTIVISION VALUE instead of ACTIVISION in your Program Files, then t should be 1.2..if not then you may need the patch

I installed the patch but it hasn't made a difference it still locks up after a while. I haven't really noticed a regular time when it will lock up I just have to keep the autosave running so I don't lose the game.

I notice my Laptop will over heat when runningthe game too long..so I stay away from it and play on my desktop
