Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
well the assyrians have broken the quiet we had going and if you look at it, this should start a wolrd war. it is bad when the most technologically advanced nation, who is also allied with the 3rd strongest nation, who also has all the best wonders, startes taking more cities.
you have me worried, smile
a little short history for those new to this game. The welsh attacked the romans and then faked a screen capture to make it look like the romans started it. since we could all figure out what happened, we all ganged up and started taking cities from the welsh and the player quit. Ken/horned frog took over and settled peacefully with everyone including the assyrian and made deals to disband units and give back cities to some including the assyrian.
So from a long time player it looks like the assyriian went back on his agreements with the Welsh.
Also the Romans needed a place of refuge when they were being overrun and I sent troops to protect them in my northern area. that is why all your cities are up there and close to mine and there are troops of mine so close, we are right up against each other. I can move away if you need.
Paul is also a long time player so he may have a little history to add here. Even though I am second on the power graph, when I took over a long time ago I was next to last and built it to this point.
Getting nervous here, got the assyrians attacking my ally/welsh in my south. got the english across the channel in my west and a new player in the romans that is my ally and the assyrians ally too. scary stuff here.
Hmm . . . yeah. I just realized that, due to my alliances, I'm diplomatically "in the middle" if the Native Americans get involved. Right now (if I remember my alliances correctly) I only have one ally at war . . . the Assyrians. Seeing as the Assyrians seem to have the upper hand and I wasn't consulted about going after the Welsh ahead of time, I don't feel any obligation to rush to the aid of the Assyrians at this time. Under the circumstances, I am remaining neutral at this point.
I do presume, Mr. Troll and his Assyrians, as well as Mr. Dancemasseuse and his Native Americans, will honor their alliances with me unless I am notified otherwise. Please let me know this is the case despite my remaining neutral, will you Gramps?
If my position changes as things develop . . . I'll let you know.
I have noticed the native American troops on my southern border and I leave their continued presence up to you. They don't seem particularly poised to attack or anything, though it is always a little unsettling to have foreign troops on your soil. There was one Phalanx (I think) on an irrigated square that I was going to request to be removed, but then I saw the tile is being worked by a worker . . . which means you must have a nearby city that I didn't know is there using the tile. So I guess that one's ok too.

Of course due to circumstance arising out of indisputable evidences brought to light thru less than obvious circumstances and under otherwise mundane routines, we understand how the inevitable often leads to uncomfortable implications

Gramps wishes no ill will toward any and as unfortunate as things appear at first light, the darkness that follows often adds certain unknown clarities and configures a diplomatic imunity in most muddies waters. that is a most certain waypoint in the direction we all must assume will take our world, wouldnt you agree?

Well spoken indeed

Eloquent words from a participating peacekeeping prospect indeed.
I once stood upon the great divide between man and machine, mammal and animal, man and beast, I saw winged things and split-hoofed beasts, and I tell you this day, observance aside, you are no simpleton sir, indeed, nothing escapes you mere perception abilities
Fruity Oaty Bars! Make a man out of a mouse! Fruity Oaty Bars! Make you bust out of your blouse! Eat them all the time! Let them blow your mind...ohh! Fruity Oaty Bars!
Move 185.
Since we essentially have a new cast of players for this game, I need to refresh everyone about the conditions under which I joined the game when Fraizer quit. He had been ganged up on and basically defeated, so he quit in a huff. When I took over the last past miserable position, the agreement was to have a truce with everyone until I caught up. Without this, its a hopeless position. So, until then LEAVE ME ALONE! The Assyrians need to reply this move and abide by the agreement. If this is not agreeable, I have no choice but to resign.

Do you need to resign? Perhaps a little dipolomacy would do the trick. You just need the right allies. Which would NOT be me at this point (see my previous post), but I think there are a few likely candidates who might like to take a bite of of GT . . .
The power graph says you're a whole lot better off than at least a couple of us. Why don't you stick it out and see what happens. It could be interesting even if GT doesn't let up.

I have no problem helping out but wouyuld ask how long and what determines your fair game?
when you have 25 nukes and space bpmbers?
just asking
i dont care if ya stay or go
thats your choice, just dont whine like a little b!@tch about it
So, horned frog, can you set a number of turns that you would like to be left alone? He does have a good point . . . when is long enough? Until you're ready to attack? Until you are on top of the power graph? Neither of those seem quite right, eh? How about 10 turns or something like that? He just took over his civ too so he doesn't have some omniscient knowledge of what has gone on before and you had no formal treaties (peace treaty in the game) did you?
Feel free to tell me if I'm being annoying trying to mediate this. I'll shut my trap . . .
