CTP slowness issues on Win2kPro

When I first purchased CTP I had win98 running on my laptop. but then upgraded to win2kPro for work issues. My PC at work also runs win2kPro.

On win98 I had no slowness issues, but with win2kPro, Everytime you end your turn, it takes upwards of 10 minutes to cycle thru the other 8 civ turns. Kinda sux when you are at work on a sunday night with nothing else to do.

Anyone have a fix for this?

btw, it isnt the processer speed. The pc at work is a P4 2.6, while my laptop is a P2 866..
