Call to Power I is a good mix of strategic and tactical warfare, combined with a good civilization building model. Though no aspect is fully "realistic", (can you really tell me one game that simulates reality perfectly?), the abstractness of the game lets you use your imagination to fill in the dynamic storybook reality, where we participate and have a say in how the story will end!

Why do I like to play CTP? I must quote Gavrushka on this one because he gave the best answer when I asked him the same question. He said, "It would be like asking me why I like to eat chicken!"

I'd have to say that pretty much sums it up for me...thanks for saving me the trouble of expressing it myself, Quinns!
