    Hi!

I just reenstalled ctp after quite a hiatus. Now whenever I click on play, I get a message saying that the game terminated abruptly, and it always has a CRC: 6215- 4902 error code.

I have the hack installed. Anybody have any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

CRC rings a vague bell somewhere in my mind, but I can't place it...

Generally it is a disk error, can't read the disk, bad sectors etc. Uninstall and reinstall it to see if it changes.

Thanks, but I have tried that twice already. I don't know what else to do. I'm thinking about just ordering a new copy of the game to see if that works.

If anybody has anymore ideas, I would gladly try them.

        Thanks for the help.

I get the same error, I was playing on my XP machine fine for about 5 months and now I keep randomly getting this error. I've scoured the web and can't find anything, the only solution is to save regularly, it's a pain in the arse but there isn't anything else that I've found that works. (and yes I have tried reinstalling)
If anyone finds out the cause of the problem I would love to know.

A maybe solution....I'm using my WinMe PC for CTP and it would lose track of the cd in my dvd drive while playing the game. Put the cd in my cdrw drive and haven't any problems like that again since.

A problem I still get once in awhile is, when the wonder movies come on the game kicks me to desktop at 640x480 of all things? Auto save, saves me if I forget to save just before the movie comes on next turn. Sounds like drivers and maybe a DirectX prob for my video card?

              dks

this is a good route of probability to look at

Has the path you chose helped?

( direct X and updated drivers?)
