Uh-oh, looks like somebody broke a treaty. Could it be another act of French treachery? Or is the English empire simply caught up in the uncontrollable tidal swell of French revolutionary imperialism?? Time will tell.
.....Meanwhile, back at the campsite, Durak and friends continue to sharpen sticks and stockpile big rocks against the Day of Reckoning.Last edited by johnzim; September 4, 2004, 09:08.

Ha-hum! A tempting offer. But what will become of it in the long run?
...cutaway to campfire at dusk. Durak pensively considers: The English have offered him the captaincy of all their goat herds and pastoral outhouses, in exchange for his eternal loyalty. Such grandeur; pot maids would quake at his approach. But alas, his thoughts slowly (and painstakingly) return to his own people. What of the beloved Russian clan? How would they continue under the cruel boot of the English?? Well, certainly the roads might be a bit better, and the houses a might tidier. Then there's the sure and constant protection from barbarian raids, not to mention the protection from religious persecution... But other than that it would be HELL ON EARTH!
