I gotta tell ya, and I just know you are doing great for a newbie, amazing ya know, but i will be darned how you can have this many citizens and cities and troops

I congratulate you and it still amazes me..BUt..then again every time I go to the restroom I am amazed

Yeah..I love playing and when I play online I allways fair well, not necessarily win, but at the very least fair decent.

BUT when I play PBEM, I am like 1/2 the pop count by turn 70-80..and the other civ is doing so much better in science and # cities and size of cities..

But of course I have played that many different players so i guess I just suck....perhaps.....

Maybe the biggest difference is that I am building cities the whole time until I have 40.
And I also built caravans and slavers (for big cities)
So now in Rennes there are 5 slaves and I use the the rest of the population as scientists

Well...thats one way of doing it....Johnny Cartoony but you didnt just build cities..

I am saying I dont understand how you can build just what you stated, NOT YOU but anyone can and I am doign same..

you have settlers,units,caravans and settlers and cities..

I am saying I dont understand how you can build all you are and still have all them cities and pop count..

I am doign the same but it amazes me how someone can do THAT much better is my point..kinda somewhat confusing..BUT will figure out how soon i reckon....

I must admit that the settler I found in the beginning also was a big advantage.

you have settlers,units,caravans and settlers and cities..
But this is not entirely true however I will not say what my weakest point is. And I don t see how you can t have as many cities as I have. And for the high pop ->slavers

But you also have other city improvements too, which is my point Johnny:

Player "A"(Johnny) Player "B"(GT)
X City Improvements X
X 40 cities 21
X High Pop Count
X Better Science
X Caravans
X Great Gold
X Much More Infrastructure

My Point is in just 80 turns or so, you have such an advantage, I am assuming you have 40 settlers/cities or there abouts. You have 820000 POP count to my 380,000 TWICE my count and lots of units traveling about.

I am just simply perplexed how anyone, you, Dimytes,anyone can in the same time frame...(oh and havent you built a wonder already or soon to? ) have roughly the same production but do so much better?

I am simply asking as this is the only thing I cant understand, how in an online game I get beaten but, it is like on in the turn 225-250 range by war...not so much a thrashing so early...

I will eventually learn the early success of both experts and newbies such as yourself possess....

Exactly my friend..

I am just perplesexed is all..

But..onward i will continue..and you are doing well..1/3rd more cities and ahead in science too..but..I reckon I will find a way to be a good as the rest of these "greats" one day

Troll, 36 cities in 80 turns or so isn't that unusual. Attached is an example game between Filix and me with a one settler/100 gold start. You can see that I also have 36 cities by turn 81 with 4 caravans. I'd be happy to tell you how to do this if you are interested.

Ok..do tell..what i am saying is how anyone can have 1/3rd more cities and both are producing about the same and one civ has soo much more...like in city improvements and gold and science and units..

where are alll your city improvements?

you only have around half his pop count

not nearly as much infrastructure

not nearly as much gold
