this the 3rd thread about this game. the entry post leads to the 2nd thread the entry post there was written by quinns, not by me. apparently he forgot to mention it. it also links to the original thread, which is not accessible anymore.

please let me know if farm under city is a major problem for you.

but may i further note that "cheating" is doing something that is not allowed, so that "to allow cheating" is a paradox sentence.

also, if someone could tell me how to access those old threads, id be happy to comply with your request.

Yes it's a major problem for me this "farm under city bug" because newbie players may not know how it works and for sure it will become in a huge advantage from you over them.

Being only a bug it becomes paradox how easy it will be a cheat if new players can't read that this bug can be used in the game.

alright. is it acceptable if we simply ban it from turn 52 or 53 onward ? because i have used it for 2 cities so far since i am pretty sure it was allowed in the initial thread.
and otherwise that would retroactively make me a cheater..

Sent turn 52 to Pacman. Speaking of Newbies and the farm under city bug . . . I have no idea how that works. If we are going to allow it, somebody clue me in how to do it so I don't get shafted.

if you start building a farm, and than build a city on it with your settler on the same turn, than you have a city with extra food...

I've heard of that bug before, but I could'nt remember what it was, until yesterday, when i saw it in the recuirements topic. if evrybody knows what it is than it's not a big problem I think, and mathemagician used it already.

                    turn 52 for gumpold...

                    • just my $.02 I've been in this game for awhile and haven't used it. (Must be why I'm so low down the graph!) I just assumed we couldn't, which would be my fault. I'd say we should say no to them, but that would put those who already have them at an advantage.

                      • alright, lets ban it from turn 53 onward then. i dont think anyone has gained an unfair advantage from it yet. keep in mind that so early in the game its quite costly to generate the required PW.

btw, thehappies, of course it would work with mines, fortification, watchtowers, ... too.
the only thing that doesnt care about when it is built, is terraforming. the terraform order will remain if you found a city, regardless when you gave it. ergo, terraforming under a newly found city is okay, as there is nowhere a bug or irregularity to be seen.

I think I have already post my response.

Ban it from turn 52, why wait to 53?

are you planing to use it for last time knowing it will be banned ?

because, as i regard it, it has been allowed previously and the discussion to ban it reached into turn 52, so it was a logical choice to start at the next turn.
personally, i will be happy not to use it on turn 52 either.

if we could forget this thing now, i could state how happy i am that this game is finally starting to move quickly.
