Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
being involuntarily offline since friday, id like to ask for 24h rule only when nothing is known about the online status of that player.
Well, think about what you just typed Math..LOOKIE at it...
24 hour rule if nothing is known...
Ok..so for instance I send to J BYTHEWAY..and for some reason his isp is down..how long do we wait before it goes forwarded?
Ok..if someone is on vacation..such as when I go to build a church in May in Honduras for 9 days..does the 24 hour rules get used then..if not do you folks wait for my return or pass on me?
So lets say one notifies everyone here that they will be away for a 3 day weekend and their turn comes up, what happens then? Pass of play on thru or stall
Just asking so we are not waiting to find out where someone is..because if I am not mistaking the rules..thats WHY we have a 24 hour rule to begin with..correct?
Just trying to get it straight so that we dont pick & choose when to enforce and when not to..
We almost have to not enforce it until turn 5 just because of the free tech issue, but after that it's usually handled on a case-by-case basis.
Vacations in the summer, for instance, are plentiful among a lot of the players so why just have a few faithfuls who don't go out get ahead because their opponents are nexted?
Most of us have enough games that we're always playing at least one, if not three every night (I know I do.)
That means a couple, to me, being delayed doesn't matter. Unfortunately that also means that players with less games running are going to start poking the heck out of the few games they are in and get disgruntled, quit, and shrink the turn-player pool that much more.
I know, for instance, that Channel Hoppers and Chicken Run move so slowly it's not even funny, but since I'm in so many other games I don't notice and therefore don't mind the tardiness...
As far as enforcing/not enforcing the 24h rule, generally its a player vote for the varying games and the moderator can follow through.
I'm not conceited, conceit is a fault and I have no faults...
Civ and WoW are my crack... just one... more... turn...

ok...so its not a rule..or even a guideline...but merely a suggestive parameter open to interpretation by votes & moderator discretion..not necessarily binding ties..
Ok..just wanted to know what kinda poker game we be running here
I mean..as long as the general feel is anything goes then kewl by me..if not..SEMPER GUMBY..(ever flexible) and take yer chances..

The ideal is to get it out in 24h and there's usually talk of actually enforcing it, but from my experience that's been about it.
Every once and a while I'll find myself nexted, but that's it.
Im cool Flameflash..I just like the rules.
Like if you and I agree to not war for "X" turns then you attack me...I have absolutely no problem ending game.
Reason behind this?
I am honorable and agree to terms and thus we play such a game.
I just dont want to say be working several nights in a row and miss my turn only to find that because I dont have the Moderator's ear or for that matter anyone elses, I find myself nexted.
I will play what rules we agree with..
Just let me know what rules are subject to enforcement and what are perhaps..how do the Southerners with their innocent drawl put it..a BLUE LAW??
maybe i should have just asked for 48h rule then.
i just wanted to save the time in case of players not caring about the game anymore, not responding to email or anything.
alright, i say 48h rule then (and hope most turns will get done within 24h nonetheless)

alright, so what do you think IS possible ?
if i got this right you were supporting a 24h rule last time. apparently you thought that was possible. so why dont you think a 48h rule will be possible ?

The reason i didnt think it was possible Math is because of thelack of response..actually 1 person ,Flameflash in a discusscussion..( ) other than you and other than I no support..
