Map editor wanted

Hope this is the right forum...

Is there any kind of map editor for CtP and if is, how to get that. And please, don't say about the beta map that inclueds in CtP, I didn't find that

Well, the primary means of map editing is simply to use the cheat mode ingame. However, there is a utility somewhere which converts bitmaps to CTP maps. Called bmp2ctp or something like that, which might be more useful. I have no idea where you might get it from, though.

Actual this tool you are reffering John is called bmp2ctp2, and can be found in the Apolyton directory. But I doupt that it is usefull. I tried to use the /importmap command in CTP1 with a map for CTP2 and a map was loaded but it looked a little bit different than the map that was supposed to be loaded. But fortunatly you can find in the Apolyton directory a tool called MapUtility in the CTP1 -> Modification section. Unfortunatly I don't have any experience with this tool, so you have to figure how it works on or own, if no one appears who knows how it does work.

Blaah, MapUtility is for converting other games maps like Civ2 or Railroad Tycoon 2, I want to make my own maps, not play others

Your best option is probably to draw them out the long way using the map editor in the game then.

Or you could try BMP2CTP2, but I doupt that it works, but you can't know before you tried it.
