What's up with const.txt ?
I can make any change to const.txt that I want, it will not have any effect.
In fact, when I test the changes made to const.txt for the Apolyton pack (or Celestial Dawn mod), I see no effect !
When I test a PBEM game that uses the Apolyton pack and that I did not start (i.e. Hex Human Race), I see no effect !
The changes that I tested :
Standard game
end of game year = 3000
pirating a trade route gives 30 gold
Apolyton pack
end of game year should be 3200, but stays 3000
pirating a trade route should give 50 gold, but still gives only 30 gold
What is going on here ?
