Okay, I will want some other people to confirm this but the 1.21 hack doesn't work loading player 1 aip files in a scenario. Don't get confused. I am guessing that it works for a mod cos in a mod player 1 is always the human player but for a scenario with preset civs where you have a choice of which player you want to be it seems that the hack will not load the 1st players aip files. I thought I would post this because I have spent the last three weeks, at least 3 to 4 hours a day doing everything imaginable to get the 1st player's aip files to load. Here's what was happening. I would load up the scenario and I would pick for eg. player 11. I would use the cheat menu to check on what each civ was building. I noticed that the 1st players cities would endlessly build one item, over and over until it filled the 9 units in a city limit. I thought this was crazy, so I fiddled and fiddled with the aip's and never saw it really change that much, it would always only pick one unit out of the build lists and stick with that. So, for weeks I fiddled almost pulling my hair out, it was so frustrating. AHHHHH
The thing that really confused me at that time was everyone else's aip's were loading perfectly but player 1's and it didn't make sense but I concluded that it was something screwed up with the scenario feature.
Then I got the bright idea to try using the civctp.exe version 1.2, and see if I saw any difference.
Immediately I saw it load the correct aips for player 1. Everything was working perfectly, it was no longer only picking one unit out of the build list. But I thought, hmmm maybe something was corrupt with my previous version of civctp.exe and gave the hack another chance. So I reinstalled the hack.
Well, it went back to the same old thing. It would only pick one unit out of the build list for player 1 in the scenario and keep building that same unit over and over.
So, I thought this might be useful info for someone, but I also would like to here if anyone else had these problems and if anyone else would be able to test this to see if I am right. But I don't think I am wrong on this issue.
Again, this is only an issue in a scenario where you have to pick the civ you want to be(preset civ locations) and there is the possibilty that player one is an ai controlled civ.
