Modifying Wonders?

I've been trying to figure out how to modify the expiration dates on certain wonders, to fit my personal playing strategy, but modifying the default wonder file only lead to errors, and, after a few games, the game ignored what I did and played normally (without and changes)

My question is, how can I change the expiration dates? Which files, and how?

Open ...\ctp_data\default\gamedata\wonder.txt and change the OBSOLETE_ADVANCE to whatever advance you want to expire the wonder. The advance must be one of the advances in advance.txt. Most changes to the text files only affect new games started after you changed the file.

If you want to change the wonders of a scenario or modpack you should edit the wonder.txt in the appropriate scenario folder.
