So I had another thought.
You can tag a unit with the
CANT_BUILD
flag.
And you can make SLIC triggers when a unit is built.
And you can kill units with SLIC.
And you can create units with SLIC.
Anyone see where I am going with this yet?
You can create a 'class' of unit and when that unit is built it swaps the actual unit out for another...
Say civ 1 builds an infantry unit and gets a legion where civ 2 builds an infantry and gets a samurai. Neither civ can build Legions or Samurai but that's what they end up with when the build an infanteer.
