  • A problam adding units to civ:Ctp

    Hi all Civers,

I've recently added a unit to Civ:Ctp and when I tried to build it (Inside the game) and clicked on it , a massage appear (outside the game, but not quiting the game) and its wrote: "not found in asset tree".
if somebody can help me out here and explain to me what that means, I will be real glad.
oh, and another thing in the file "Uniticon.txt" there is a the GameuXX.txt, and HistuXX.txt and more, I know its belong to the great library but I dont know where I can create them to my unit.
one last thing, I want to add the picture of my unit to the building inside the game (like the rest of the units) so where I need to put the file of the picture??
    thanks alot, Dr.Mor

Hi, That message about not being found in the asset tree is probably because the sprite or possibly picture is not in the right directory. In your ctp_data/default/graphics directory there should be file folders called sprites + pictures. Make sure the sprites and pictures respectfully are in the folders. As far as creating txts for your gl descriptions, they go in the ctp_data/default/gamedata/gl directory.

I recommend downloading a program called easymod 3.3. It makes modifying the game a whole lot easier. Also please visit the modification page here on apolyton or search the threads there is a few good guides and alot of information on the forum about modifying the game.
