I am talking about City Screens. If there i any chance at all that it is possible to use a city screen, like in Civ, i may start playing CTP, and an automation would be nice. Even though all this is impossible

Well, it *may* be possible through the UI-files but as far as I know so far no-one really bothered to go into them. I made several attempts to do something with these files, without significant succes. This may partly have been because I wanted too much though. I think that if someone puts in a lot of hours (which I simply don't have), something could be accomplished on this area, but I'm not sure if it'll be worth the effort, especially with CtP II coming up and such.

Well it's not all that dificult, if you just want to change the layout of the variouse windows , changing the information is an entirely differeny matter .
So far I have had no luck finding out how to display any new informaition using the ui files.
If anyone knows how to do that, I'll be glad to know. (Trial and error takes an awfull lott of time, when you have to restart the game to se the effect of a change )
What I would like to do is add a couple of extra columns to the citystatus list (my most wanted list is: specialist status and a new improved production status)

Martin,
it seems we both got equally far. I too was able to change the appearence of windows (and change the word "Loading..." when a game the game is loading into "You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile" ) but when I tried to add a few buttons, in this case to be able to choose to play with 32 civs in the setup-screen, either nothing happened or the game crashed

Welcome to the world of the CtP-modmaker If I'd get a nickle for every-time CtP forced me to restart the game or my computer (which is a very slow proces on an old system like mine) I'd be a miljonaire by now

Per definition, you can'tquote:

Well Thue, Nothing is impossible some things just take more time
Locutus:
Thanks, I guess I'll just have to content with enlagening some of the screens. 3 lines is a little on the short side for scroling through cities to send goods to, and I havn't even played with Norticus' trade goods yet.
When I'm done I'll, poste a note and send the resized screens to Marcos, and see if he posts them.

Ok. I just finished the screens and have sent them to Marcos.
I have modified the following screens:
The City-Status-Window: now displaying 22 cities in stead of just 10.
The Trade-Sell-Window,
the Trade-Send-Window and
the Trade-Send-City-Window: now displaying 10 goods not 3.
If, there are any problems, just let me know, and I will try to fix them. If they don't get posted on Apolyton, I'll put them on my own site.Visit my CTP-page and get TileEdit and a few other CTP related programs.

Thue,
if you're gonna start like that, the question was just frased unfortunate since nothing is impossible, but like Martin said, some things just take a very long time
Martin,
Good work, I'm looking forward to trying them, it's good to see at least some progress being made in this area.
Don't worry, Markos will post them, it might just time some time, he's a busy man.

Marcos:
If you don't have the files or or if I'm a jerk that can't find my way around your site, just let me know.

I just posted a new version of the city_size.zip file. All the files were in the file I had on my computer. The error might be that my mod is not compatible with the mod set you are using, If anyone else who are still following this thread has the same problem let me know.
Well I might do something about that trade-overviw, but it'll have to wait. I do have some raw images that might be usefull so if anyone wants to give it a shot I'll send/poste them.Visit my CTP-page and get TileEdit and a few other CTP related programs.

Well, Markos still has to post a bunch of units from Morgoth and it took him almost 6 months before he had time to post a mod-making faq Nordicus made, so not all hope is lost. I'm sure your files will eventually be posted (though I sure hope it you don't have to wait 6 months ).
Anyway, I finally had a chance to download and try your mods. I really like the UI-changes, it's only a minor improvement but it makes offers a *lot* more overview and save a *lot* of annoying scrolling. I really like it and will keep using it. I really recommend it to everyone Should you ever do more work in this area (or anyone else for that matter), you may want to have a look at the Trade-overview screen as well, that could be made a little bigger as well if you ask me
That other mod I found on your site (to display the city limit with the govenment help in the Great Library) was nice as well, but the Med Mod (or maybe even the Apolyton Pack, I use both so I don't know which one added the feature) offers even more detailed information on government-types, such as knowledge coefficent, crime rate, etc. and of course city limit as well, so this mod offers nothing new to me For people not using the Med Mod it would be a useful addition though. I did notice that the city limit for Anarchy, Tyranny, Monarchy and Replublic (I could have forgotten one - I'm doing this by heart) weren't displayed. Did I do something wrong or did you leave them out? Oh, the readme file with that mod was a bit poor, if you haven't already (I downloaded you mods last week, so you might have updated your page by now), you might want to improve that (the readme for the UI-mod was very good - thanks for mentioning me BTW, wasn't really necessary, but I appreciate it ).
