Not sure if this has been discussed before, but:
Can SLIC write to a text file? I see in the Dutcheese's function list a "print text", but I'm not sure where that prints to.
What I'm thinking is having a Chronicle file, so that your "history" is recorded as it happens.
For example, say in 1300 B.C., you discover religion. That event would trigger a line to be written, like "1300 B.C. - The prophet Bokonen rises among the Elbonians and preaches Boku-Maru to the masses."
Then, say in 500 B.C., you convert a city. A line would be written like "500 B.C. - Bokonan Missionaries bring salvation to Athens."
You could record discoveries, prototype units, conquests, defeats, changes of governments, etc.
The problem is, I haven't done any SLIC coding, so I don't know if it can be done.
Can anyone out there help?
