"am using cd's and harlans mods in a scenario"
which means exactly? you are making a scenario pack with cd's and harlan's mods?

most probably the same solution applies

remember that this is not a apolyton pack bug, it's a ctp bug...

        JimMac (and Mark),
The script.slc file download that Mark suggested didn't work for me. I got the same error messages you were getting.

        Mark and other Apolyton Packers,
This is why I am hoping that the pack that you are working on will solve this problem that I am having.

Another (possibly dumb) question - Since you said that none of the original game files are overwritten with the Modpack, is there any steps that someone has to take to start a new game using the Modpack? Does the Modpack set up files in the Scenerio folder - so do you have to start a game, save it and place it in a Scenerio Pack folder, and then activate it using the Select Scenerio button?

          Hex.
That particular script.slc didn't work for me either, so I decided to go ahead and uninstall (removing the mods), re-install and download the Apolyton Pack.

I am at turn 200 and it has worked for me perfectly so far...(well, more or less
-You must load your save as Markos indicates above, it doesn't pick up a new colors.txt from the scenario folder, and I don't get the siege engine sound- as Markos indicates in the readme. (And I have 1 other sound quirk - see the PowerSLIC problem thread but I think this is due to my P.C. rather than the Apolyton Pack).

So, I recommend to you that you also install the Apolyton Pack. Its Great!

hex, to install you only have to unzip it in the ctp folder and enabled the DebugSlic variable in userprofile.txt
the structure if the zip allows that everything will go to the correct place with one extract command

btw, if you haven't downloaded it yet, get the v0.9 version http://apolyton.net/ctp/files/apolyt...ytonPack09.zip
it's mainly the v0.55, very minor changes have been made, we're only holding the release because we're searching the "scenario feature bug"

                Markos,
Thanks to your recent post I have got my catapault sounds working. I went to check that the wav. files were in the folder you mentioned, and found that there were 2 folders for sound, the other being tp_data\default\sounds.

After I copied them to the "sound" folder, I get my squeeky wheel back again. I just checked your version 5.0 install zip, and it appears that this is putting the sounds in the wrong folders -I may be wrong though.

                  Mark,

Almost there, I'll be downloading the Modpack in a day or so - when I'll have access to a faster online connection.

I have a few more questions about the following,
"the suggested way to solve this is to start a new random map game using the pack and then loading your saved game"

It's my understanding that with patch 1.2, there is a feature that allows a player to have several mods on his system and he can choose which one to play with without the hassle of reinstalling. The Modpack is supposed to use this feature.

I understand how to overcome the 'Scenerio Bug' issue, but am confused about the first part of your statement. How do I initially set up a game using the Modpack, as opposed to setting up a game without the Modpack?

My current setup, with patch 1.2 and combination of Mods also will not allow me to play Hotseat/PBEM. (blank screen after turn 1) Has the Modpack been tested for Hotseat/PBEM, because this is probably the main reason that I want to use the Modpack?

Make sure you cover this in your final Readme, if you haven't already.

First of all lets use the "official" term which is scenario pack(that's in order to avoid confusion)
scenario packs are installed on a separate folder under ..\scenarios\
                    without overwritting any game files

Now, in the new game screen there is a "select scenario" button which allows you to select a scenario pack. if you dont select any, you will play with the standard game files
this actually in the readme of the 1.2 patch....

"Has the Modpack been tested for Hotseat/PBEM"
A short test on hotseat with a few turns showed no problems

                      Mark,

Thanks for the quick response! (You must live, breathe, and eat on this site) That's what I suspected, but just needed the clarification.

Decided to go ahead and download now (even as I type). Looking forward to using it.

                        OUTSTANDING!!!

Makes me wonder why you didn't have the incompatibilities in the Patch/Mod setup, since your Modpack had basically the same stuff that I had.

                        Anyhow, Great Job!
