  • Graphics incompatible with Scenarios?

Apparently to use new graphics with scenario pack you have to put graphics in the normal files directories, they can't go in the scenenario directory.

I thought the game would just be smart and use the new directories and only go back the standard game ones when something wasn't there. It looks like it only does that for certain types of files. This pisses me off, how can they not think of something like that when making the patch? The idea was ALL the scenario files go in the scenario directory and NOT in the standard game directories.

I just started trying to convert my mod to scenario format and it won't find my GL images and I heard people saying elsewhere they have to be in the standard directory, so is there a way around this?

Apparently, files that are modified are to be put in the scenario folders, while files that mods create have to be put alongside the original files. This includes gl, sound, video and graphics files.

actually, videos work in scenario folders

now, gl images and texts have to be in the default folders. we havent found a workaround yet. however, edited gl txts and images can coexist with default ones, Paul can explain this better

as for GL texts, you can give them non-default names(placing them in the default folders of course) without causing any problems

example: a vari****.txt from cd's mod is now named vacd****.txt in the apolyton pack

Ack! GL files too? This patch is a horrible joke! Atleast with grapics it's not a big deal because sceanrio packs can share graphics but it's going to be a mess when someone sees something in the GL and can't figure out why they can't build it or why it's stats are wrong.
