  • How should the picture fr cheat mode be setup

What is the setting for the pictures in the cheat mode? What size should they be? Are they the ones with the name upuxxxa, or is it just upuxxx? Do they need a alpha channel? How many bit's do they have?

Read the paintshop pro thread for more info on the naming of the pictures. They should be 16 bit tga, no alpha channel. I once took a screenshot to find their size. Cheat mode should be 40x30 pixels, the pictures you get when you right-click on a unit should be 30x30 pixels.

I think this summarises the files required.

I used CU0xxF.TGA 160x120 for Great Library still frame.

UPUAxx.TGA 96x72 for the build units queue.

      UPU0xx.TGA 96x72 for cheat mode.

      UPU0xxB.TGA 72x72 for right click

CU0xxA.AVI 160x120 15fps for 4 seconds for Great library video.

Hopefully I got all the names and what they were used for right. I think for several the important thing is only the proportions. Also for TGA files they should be uncompressed. AVI can be compressed as can the TIFF files (LZW compression for them).

TiFFs are the only ones with alpha channels.

Yes, you got it right except the size for right-click and cheat mode. I mentioned them in my previous post. The sizes don't really matter, the game will resize them to fit. The important thing is to get the width:height ratio right.
