I've been creating a new spite and wanted to create an AVI file. Unfortunately I have a problem with the software I am using. Uncompressed seems to work OK but ends up with a 16MB file! Any compression I use seems to fail (I'm using Raydream). Does anybody know of a product that that will compress created AVI files?

Morgoth:
There are a few free or demo downloads out there to take ani-gifs and make avi's. They will also deal with a sequence of gif files.
I think that maybe your avi's are so large because your starting with tiff's? If you want to know some software names let me know.

It a bit OF A RED HERRING!. I was using ray dream and it seems to colapse at the end - but still saves the file. I worked out how to compress the avi files so thats OK now. I could post this spite (I need just to test out the attack/death bits) but I haven't done any shadows. Is anybody that interested in shadows ( they go in the right direction until you walk west anyway!).
Dogfish, would like to see your animated sprite. Can you post it to me? Mine was a basic ancient slinger - But having done that one I hope to do a few other basic style models fairly quickly,

Morgoth,
I sent you an email on Friday... have you rec'd. it? If not I'll send again.
Makespr diplays something like:
Move[............]
Attack[....
then if it bombs the bad tiff is the 5th in the attack sequence... the dots represent completed (good) tiffs.

Sorry but I never received your sprite. Can you resend please. Where do you see my address to send it? Do you want me to post you my slinger? I was also doing a basic basic (bronze age swordsman).
Once I've tested and checked I'll post to Apolyton but I just want to check out the combat and death scenes.
