civclient dissapears after Building a City

Hi Forum,
i ve just compiled & installed FreeCiv 1.13.0 (SuSE 7.1, Kernel 2.4.10, i686, X-4). The game starts and a can walk around with the units - everything is fine (no sound?). But if i build a city and enter the name or click on an existing city the programm dissapears. I can restart it an proceed (with the new city built). But i can't see the city page.
Suggestions?

Very strange. Can you try to download and install a cvs snapshot and see if the error occurs then as well?

The cvs version has a lot of bugs fixed.

Jo, after i understood the docs, i succesfully installed the cvs version. It works.
