how do i run freeciv 1.13 instead of 1.12 ?

i got red hat 7.2 and its came with freeciv 1.12.
i noticed almost all online games are on 1.13 so i installed it, however when i type civclient or civ it starts to run civ 1.12 instead of 1.13!
i'm kinda new to linux so do i need to uninstall 1.12 (and how i do that) and then install 1.13 again ?

it gives error :
0: Could not find readable file "hires.tilespec" in data path.

i used
FREECIV_PATH="/usr/games/freeciv/data:./data"; export FREECIV_PATH
like the install manual said but i still get the same error.
