Nice graphics, but we'll see if it stands up to Freeciv in gameplay. =)

Any screenshots? I get "Micro$oft visual C++ debug library" errors when I try to run it.

And which project was it taken from?

(and is it isometric, and how hard would it be to port it to freeciv!)

      Edit: UGH, directX.

I really can't tell you why it doesn't compile. If you really want to know mail openciv3@egroups.com and you'll get an answer. If you want to see it in action you can get an exe in the programming section.
It is isometric and is 3d.

What project is it based on?
Started from scratch trying to make not civ2 but civ3. The 3dmap was taken from another project at sourceforge, and then slightlly modified.
Will it make freeciv in gameplay?
I'll tell you in a few months (but, I wouldnt be suprised if it did!)

Precarrious planning has gone into it, and we have some excellent programmers on board.

Well, actually I got that error running the .exe file.
And my question went on what project you had lifted it from. Now please tell me!

Try grabbing the exe from here www.kolumbus.fi/amjayee
As for what project I don't know but Amjayee spent about two weeks going through every file at sourceforhe trying to find it.
            Impressed were you ;P

No, doesn't work. Must be WINE's fault
You don't have any screenshots. unlike those complaing about needing linux, I have an excuse as I don't want to use $200 to sponsor Bill

I really like the hex based map, even if the terrain graphics don't shine yet.

And Thue, who ever said anything about BUYING Windows?
